In this topic, discuss how learning happens at home.

smile We would love to hear your suggestions on what you think:

  • what would be a cool place to learn in?
  • what would help your learning?

What would this look like?

What would you like to support you in your learning?

What would support your child with their learning?

You can write a reply below or post links to videos.

We like to live on the farm. We like to get up at 5 o’clock in the morning to go down onto the farm. We like getting the cows in and the farmers can teach us how to milk cows, what all the buttons are for on the cowshed and why we paint the tails on the cows. We ask them questions and they ask us questions. We have jobs to do for the farmers. Learning on the farm is good so that when we are older we know how to run a farm. The farmers can show us rather than tell us. Learning on the farm is fun. We can learn by ourselves because we watch what the farmers are doing and try it. Our Dad sometimes teaches us on the farm.

I like learning at home with my Dad. He teaches me how to build gardens. He shows me how to do it and then he comes and helps me when I need it. I’ve learned how to hammer. I know how to dig out the roots from a tree stump using a spade. I’ve learned a lot about driving tractors from my Dad. I know that if you don’t go 40km it doesn’t need a service. I like making things, building things and learning things.
